Books from Brek is managed and operated entirely by the Neiswender family. No money from donations is used to pay individuals to carry out the work of the foundation. Our family wanted and needed a positive and purposeful way to keep Brek’s memory alive. Brek loved turning the pages of his books and having someone read to him.  Through this not-for-profit organization his life lives on through the smiles and joy of others.  It brings us comfort.  It contributes to the future of our community.

Molly Neiswender oversees the foundation and does all financial work to ensure we meet compliance, rules and regulations, and annual taxes.

Brian Neiswender oversees donations and ensures the foundation has the resources it needs to meet its mission and vision.

Avery Neiswender and Hazel Neiswender are very involved in bagging the books and in delivering the books to our community partners.

Avery Neiswender and Hazel Neiswender occasionally invite friends and other family members to help with the bagging and distribution.

We are also grateful to our partnership with the Illinois Athletic Association who engage athletes to help with bagging and distribution.

Rita Soldwedel orders and receives all books.  She levels the books appropriate to age groups birth to five.

Rita Soldwedel is very appreciative of the help she gets from her friends and from our partners .

Perry Soldwedel manages the marketing, communications and website.
